First Dibs on Baby Yams' New Fall Quilt Collection!

Before I officially run ads for our new inventory, I want to give you the first dibs—our community, our support system, the parents and caregivers who give to others everyday.

Fall is on the way, and this new inventory is seriously getting me in the mood for the season ahead. We’ve got some incredible peaches and oranges, cobalt blues, hints of gold, yellow, soft pinks and even plaids in this limited run! I must have had my Mom on my mind while designing it. And I'll tell you why.

Here’s a little fashion story for you: My mother always wore coral nail polishes and lipsticks while we were growing up. We’d have to travel an hour in Long Island just to find her Fashion Fair counter, the premier and only makeup line for black women in the 80s. Her go-to? Shades of orange for her lips, cheeks, and nails. In recent years, she's ventured out into reds and pinks, but orange—orange is forever and ever her color, her signature. This collection is dedicated to her. Her warmth and guidance, her sense of style, and her love. Not only as a mother to her three daughters but to her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and all of our family. As you can probably tell, I have a real emotional connection to these brand new Abundance and Joy colorways. These quilts are as stunning, elegant and warm in spirit as my Mom.

I’ve received inquiries via email and in person from organizations interested in wholesale pricing for giving Baby Yams quilts as gifts for their clients. Our quilts have gone to expecting families all across the country as gifts and prizes and that just makes my heart sing. So, I've decided to go ahead and take that on. 

If you’re connected to a reproductive justice, or other non-profit community health organization, please reach out to us at info@baby-yams.com and give us a sense of your needs. Please include quantity (ten blanket minimum) and the styles you're interested in, and we'll work with you to get you what you need at wholesale pricing while our inventory lasts. Remember, we only produce in small batches to maintain quality in both fabric and production. So, first come first serve. But, we might be able to make special batches. Reach out and let us know.
